One of the most rewarding aspects of building homes, for me, is to witness the expressions and hear the comments of visitors as they walk into one of our homes.  This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year when it comes to work-life, because it’s the one week when more people visit our homes than in any other week.

It’s not every day you get mentioned in an article in The Oklahoman.  It’s even more rare to be called a “geek” in front of hundreds of thousands of readers, as I was in this weekend’s paper.

I make a point to not only work in my business, but also to work on my business as much as possible.  What’s the difference?

Working in your business is putting efforts towards the day to day operational tasks required to conduct business.  For me, this includes walking job-sites, making punch lists, supervising schedules to make sure we’re on track to meet deadlines, reviewing invoices, and placing orders.  I’m giving time and attention to specific projects and the repetitive tasks involved in keeping the business running.

While I have no doubt the kids are loving this great Oklahoma Winter weather that’s given them a week off from school, we’re itching to get some houses finished.  We’re also missing everyone’s pretty faces coming through our model!

We’ve weathered Ice Storm 2007, as our friends at Channel 5 dubbed it, and now that the wintery weather is gone, we’re getting back to work.  But while skies are blue, the streets and sidewalks are still icey and temps won’t be climbing above freezing for a couple more days.

With that in mind, the JCH Model Home will re-open for normal business hours on Wed., Jan. 17th at 1pm.  If you’re a brave driver and just must see one of our houses, feel free to

It’s that time again...Wintery Oklahoma Weather.  We don’t have much use for skis here.  But skates... Now there’s something you can put to use here and not even have to go to the rink!

Due to the severe weather already making its way into the city, the Jeff Click Homes Model Home will be closed Friday, Jan. 12 through Sunday, Jan. 14.  Weather permitting, we will resume normal business hours beginning on Monday.
